Amara has been teaching Sailing and Windsurfing in Pattaya Thailand since 1978. She competed for Thailand for 25 years in Windsurfing Racing and Freestyle. Realising her dream - she now runs Amara Watersports with Husband Craig at Blue Lagoon about 10km south of Jomtien Pattaya which is about 2 hours drive south of Bangkok in Thailand. We have been giving SUP demonstrations, doing surf trips, paddle-board adventure tours, SUP holidays and running our Sup Surf Shop in Pattaya for over 3 years.

How to get to Blue Lagoon Pattaya

Blue Lagoon Pattaya By Car

Departure from the Bangkok's Don Muang Airport to Pattaya daily (by direct expressway) at 09:00, 12:00, and 19:00. Duration +/- 2.5 hrs. Reservation: Thai limousine service, Thai Airways, arrival lounge, Bangkok Airport (Don Muang).

Individual taxis are available for the same journey and cost from 1000 to 2000 baht, one way. I normally pick them up from the Arrivals level as they drop of passengers, Last time I paid about 800THB and gave a 100THB tip.

Blue Lagoon Pattaya By Air

U-Tapo Airport at Sattahip. is about 35km from Pattaya. Currently the only scheduled flights are operated by Bangkok Airways to and from Koh Samui. U-Tapo Airport, built by the Americans during the Vietnam War, is being upgraded to handle International flights on a large scale within the next 2 years.

SUP Paddle-board Storage

We offer undercover storage for your SUP within a hundred Meters of the sandy almost private beach. 4,500THB/year/board includes use of Toilets and Showers and you can wash your board in fresh water on our grassy rigging area.

SUP Paddle-board Repairs

Starboard Paddleboards are very difficult to damage. However if you are unlucky or have a problem we can either fix it at our club or send it away to get it expertly repaired by factory trained specialists.
