Starboard paddleboard 10'3

10’3” x 29” Gun Pro Starboard Paddle-board SUP

The board you will use when the surf picks up.  When you need the glide to get in to the waves and the confidence to handle the drop. With a classic gun out line, thinner deck profiles, rails and rockerline to match, it’s all about the con-tainment of high speed while still being able to initiate a turn and trust the board that’s under your feet. An interesting  bi product of this shape is the enhanced glide well suited for light people wanting a board for calm water paddling

I rode the 10'3" Gun from 2009 collection and it was a Classic board - for a small fellow like me, I do not need anything bigger even for flat water fitness training. This years model, if it is anything like the 9'8" Pro, (which it will be, but faster) sure would make a sweet board for those slow carving longboard moves and for catching waves with less perfect shape. Also great for long paddles out to distant breaks, especially if they lack perfect shape when you get out there. With a board like this, you can overtake the wave you are paddling for. - you wont miss many rides once you have the balance worked out.

The Gun Pro SUP is now available in Carbon - perhaps the lightest board on the market?

Consider - if two thirds of the board are out of the water, the swing weight you need to overcome when changing direction. Now imagine reducing that by as much as 20% - and that is comparing to Starboard Touch and Camo Boards that are already much lighter than many other brands lightest models.
