These small waves lack the power of true ocean swell, this makes them ideally suited to Paddle-board Surfing. Also you will see almost zero other people surfing these waters, and if you do, chances are they will be other Starboard SUP riders!

note: Greg guys from the Sunova factory and a handful of others have been surfing in these waters for many years. Salt Water Dreaming have a few photos of pretty impressive swells from this part of Thailand also, but it is just waiting for the good times to really get going. This season 2010 you will see a lot more people SUP'n it up out there.
